History

I got ahold of a number of these.  They come in two varieties: pretty and not-so-pretty.  Pretty means that they don’t have any discoloration or marks on the case.  Not so pretty means that they could be discolored or have labels, goo, etc on them.  ALL of them have been tested to work oin an Atari PC AND can be used on an Atari ST ****IF***** you step the pulse rate up to 6ms (as opposed to the ST normal of 3ms).  You can do this through software on the ST.  If you need it, I have a copy.

These floppy drives format to 360k

Specifications

• “Two Manuals” PCF 554 floppy drive
  • No sun discoloration, no labels. Very nice looking
  • No power supply (uses the Atari standard CO17945 same as XF551, 1050, 400/800/1200XL, etc)
  • Comes with box and two manuals

• This is an empty PCF554 case.  Looks very nice.  No drive mech, no interface board.

Known Flaws

Other than listed above, nothing that I am aware of.
